FAST Defense (Fear Adrenal Stress Training) is a program created by Bill Kipp designed to teach students to react under the effects of the adrenal rush experienced in a potentially violent situation. The training involves armored assailants giving the students the opportunity to perform their techniques with full contact. The real meat of the program however, is the development of awareness and the ability to set verbal boundaries to avoid violence before it starts. The children's version of the program, FAST C.A.T.S. (Child Assertiveness Training Series), is an anti-bully, anti-abduction program that teaches children the skills necessary to protect themselves in potential bullying situations. Like the regular FAST Defense program, this program focuses on awareness and verbal boundary skills, and also gives the children the chance to do scenarios with the 'Bulletman' (armored instructor).
